Menoo

Menoo is a restaurant booking app: reserve a table, order and pay from your phone. The brand already existed but looked like everything else in the category, so the client asked for a restyle that would stand apart.

This one was fun because it let me put illustration at the centre of an identity rather than beside it. A cast of characters, dishes seen from above and an app that behaves like a friendly object — a world the brand could keep drawing from instead of a logo and a palette.

I art directed and illustrated the system, drew the storyboards and prepared the files for animation, then worked hand in hand with 2D animator Sebastián Imola to bring the illustrations to life and tell the story of what Menoo is.
